Mission Accomplished has been a partner for a few years now — their laundry services are crucial to helping individuals experiencing homelessness (be that at a shelter or on the streets) to both hang on to clothing (rather than discard it) and get their clothes cleaned affordably.
We partnered with Shepherd 5 Points Foundation and Glimmer Austin to help buy a mobile shower trailer with 8 private shower stalls, and it launched today! Paul Mitchell donated lots of shampoo and conditioner so that people could have that salon quality product in their showers. There was a line for showers at our busy corner of downtown Austin this morning. It was great to see people getting to cool down and get clean and the hottest time of summer. We are grateful to our funding partners and to Mission Accomplished’s team. Showers for everyone!
