Exams are back at 🌻 Eloise House

More than a decade ago, Eloise was honored to be a part of the founding of the first forensic clinic for survivors of sexual assault in Austin outside of hospital emergency rooms. They named the clinic Eloise House 🌻🌻🌻 to honor her commitment. The first clinic - a small, brightly painted trailer - grew to serve so many that a couple years ago it moved to its own building. When a new financial and service model was needed earlier this year to keep providing exams for all, SAFE had to shut the clinic services down.

We are proud to announce that, while advocacy at Eloise House has operated this whole time, forensic exams are coming back to Eloise House in January 2027. Austin will now have a multi service provider model that we hope provides access to as many people who are in need. We will continue our support as a foundation for these services and for SAFE’s essential work.

If you want to talk to someone confidentially about your situation, the SAFEline offers assistance in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, child abuse and those in need of parenting support.

SAFEline is available 24/7 by phone at 512.267.SAFE (7233), text at 737.888.7233, or chat at safeaustin.org/chat.
